The Centre has ask the Madhya Pradesh management to tighten security in Indore in the wake of cleverness input that terrorists may try to goal the city during the two IPL matches this week.
Acting on a tip off, the Home Ministry convey to the state government to deploy extra security forces in the city, mainly in and around the Holkar Stadium, where the two Indian Premier League matches will be held on Friday and Sunday.
Kochi Tuskers Kerala will play next to Kings IX Punjab on May 13 while on May 15 Kochi Tuskers Kerala will play next to Rajasthan Royals in the city.
"We are not taking any probability on whatever information we have usual. So, we have alerted the Madhya Pradesh government to take all essential security measures right away," a Home Ministry official said.
The state government has been advice to strengthen its patrolling, checking of vehicles, thorough frisking of viewers and other security drills attached to the big event.
